A Challenging Memory

Day 14: Your earliest memory.

My mom always says I am nuts, but I have two small memories from when I was very young.  I'm talking baby or at the most very young toddler.  I'll share them both because I have no idea which is older.

One memory is of my mom holding me in a parking lot and for some reason I think it was the parking lot of a doctor's office.  I am looking over her shoulder and can see all the cars in the lot.  It's also raining and Mom is holding an umbrella over us.

In the second, it is night and I am in my crib at my grandparents' home (I lived with them until I was 3).  I am crying or yelling and someone opens the door and peeks in at me, but doesn't come in.  I know where the bed is in the room and I see that it isn't totally dark because there's a nightlight.

Those are my earliest.  They aren't really impressive other than I remember anything at all from such a young age.

  2. I'm like Terri---my earliest memories are from around 3 or 4. It's amazing that you can remember back to when you were a baby.
