Wish List Meme, part one
1.) What are 3 things on your Wish list and why? 1. Getting totally out of debt. I'd love to be able to retire one day. 2. Getting both bathrooms remodeled and adding on a larger living room. The bathrooms are just shot after nearly 25 years and with the kids getting married or in relationships and having kids...WE.NEED.MORE.ROOM. 3. That the doctors could get a handle on what's wrong with my husband. I'd love for him to feel well enough to enjoy life.2.) Do you miss your childhood? Some aspects of it. I miss the places we lived. I miss the times with my grandmother. I miss the security of knowing someone was taking care of me. I miss the fun times with friends. I do NOT miss my parents' strictness.
3.) What do you do on your spare time on the weekends? Do memes, of course. Oh, and if there's time after that, read, go shopping, go out to eat, check out festivals/fairs/etc. Do something with friends.
4.) What do you appreciate most in your life? My relationship with God.
5.) Would you rather be rich or healthy? After hosting my daughter's baby shower today, I'd definitely say healthy. I'm sitting here with my ankles and feet covered in Salonpas patches trying to get some relief from the pain.
6.) If you could go back in time would you and why? I suppose there are a few things I wish I could have handled differently, but those things helped shape who I am today so I don't think I'd actually want to go back. It'd be nice to see my grandmother again, though.
7.) Favorite game as a child? It was a Milton Bradley game called Which Witch. You moved your person through a booby-trapped castle. My friends and I played it until it fell apart. I see you can buy it on ebay for anywhere from $45-$85 (in case you feel like buying me a Christmas present).
8.) What is your dream career? I don't know if I'd call it a career, but I'd love to own either an antique store or a used book store.
9.) What do you do in your free time? Cruise the internet, read, crawl through antique stores, go to auctions and yard sales...
10.) Favorite clothing stores? I don't have one. My favorite chain, Fashion Bug, was bought out and closed a few years ago. It had been my main source of clothes since high school. I haven't found a single store to take it's place.
11.) What TV shows can't you live without? The Big Bang Theory, American Pickers, Alaskan Bush People, Scorpion (and I'm highly ticked at CBS for putting it on at 10:00, which is past my bedtime on work nights).
12.) 3 things you need in your life are: God, family, books.
13.) What can't you sleep without? My Poodle curled up against me.
14.) Who do you have a celebrity crush on? Toby Keith, Bill Pullman, and Bradley Cooper.
15.) What is your Favorite Season and why? Autumn. What's not to love?? I am that totally obnoxious suburban woman who waxes poetic about all things fall...the beautiful colors, the smells, that foods, football, bonfires, etc., etc., etc.
16.) What is your Favorite Wild Animal? I'm kind of partial to camels and hippos.
17.) Name 3 of your Favorite Childhood shows: Scooby-doo, Looney Tunes, and the Donny and Marie Show. In my teens it was Happy Days, American Bandstand, and M*A*S*H.
18.) If you could live as a character in a movie who would it be? Pick just about any Sandra Bullock character, she always gets really sweet and hot guys in her movies....Harry Connick, Jr, Bill Pullman...
19.) Favorite vegetables? Brussels Sprouts, potatoes, sweet potatoes.
20.) Favorite Fruit? Pineapple
21.) If you had a dragon what would you name it? Bob
22.) What do you put on hotdogs? Ketchup, for the most part, but now and then cheese, kraut, or chilli.
23.) Do you play online games? Just silly ones on Facebook. I don't get into World of Warcraft or that kind of online game. That's my son's domain.
24.) Whats your favorite way to get inspired? Reading, praying, talking with friends.
25.) Do you have a middle name? I do.
How could I have left Big Bang Theory off my list? Funny how many of us love autumn.
ReplyDeleteBBT is really the ONLY show I never miss.
ReplyDeleteI've never watched Big Bang Theory. Hmmmmm. I enjoyed your answers!!
ReplyDeleteYou really should give it a watch. It is the funniest thing on TV these days.
Delete"May tomorrow be a perfect day, may you find love and laughter along the way. May God keep you in His tender care till He brings us together again. Good night, Stacy!" Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go look for my purple socks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice blessing. Thank you. :) Ahh...the purple socks. Only another fan would get it.
DeleteI would love to be completely debt free and I am working as hard as I can to get to that point. I love M*A*S*H!
ReplyDeleteI am trying here, too, Shannon, but I swear as hard as I am trying life is trying just as hard to keep it from happening!
DeleteOh, I forgot all about Which Witch! That was so much fun!
ReplyDeleteIt was. I know you weren't supposed to want to get knocked over by the ball coming down the chimney, but I was disappointed when I didn't get hit. It was fun!
DeleteI seem to have a vague memory of Which Witch. Probably something my brother crushed within an hour of opening it. He was good for things like that.
ReplyDeleteBoo! I didn't have any siblings to contend with so anything that broke was on me.
DeleteBig Bang is a wonderful show. (Lemmy tell ya. This Brain dead posting style I've adopted is just not recommended.) Oh, Hippos, me too, especially the baby ones. So cuddly cute. And Autumn. Isn't it the best time of year? Happy Autumn!
ReplyDeleteYes, the baby ones...so squishy cute!
