Wish List Meme, part 2

Wish List Meme, part two

26.) Favorite kids name?

I'm going to go with Matthew and Megan since that's what I named mine.

27.) Do you speak any other languages?

Nope.  Four years of French and I know a handful of words, the first couple of lines of France's national anthem (I had a twisted teacher who required us to sing it in front of the class to pass), and for some reason the phrases that stuck in my head are to ask where Philip is, to tell you Philip is at the pool with Anne, and say that a girl is a pain.  None of it is exactly useful.

28.) Do you use Twitter?

I have an account.  I used to send out tweets now and then and when the blog was on Wordpress a tweet went out to tell people I'd posted.  Someone did that for me.  I don't know how and I don't really care to.  I don't get Twitter or like it.

29.) Do you go onto YouTube?

Quite a bit, but only for music videos.

30.) Do you play Angry Birds?

No.

31.) Do you like Angry Birds?

I have no opinion of it one way or the other.

32.) Do you like Hello Kitty?

I don't hate it, but I don't understand the appeal.

33.) Have you ever cried because you were so happy?

Maybe a handful of times....my wedding, when the kids were born...

34.) Who would you like to see in concert?

Lots of people.  Billy Joel, Journey, Kiss, Guns 'n' Roses, Barry Manilow, Van Halen, Jon Bon Jovi, Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart....

35.) Can you swim well?

I'd say I'm adequate.  Good enough not to drown.  Under mild conditions.  Like a heated pool.  Jaws ruined me for the ocean.

36.) Ever won a contest?

In junior high I won a disco contest.  It meant nothing, but I won.

37.) Ever won a giveaway?

I know I have, but I'll be darned if I can remember what.

38.) Do you get a full 8 hours of sleep every night?

39.) What tea do you like?

I like a lot of flavored teas...herbal, black, green...but maybe my absolute favorite go-to is peppermint.

40.) What coffee do you like?

I don't drink coffee.

41.) Do you shop at Walmart?

Yes.  There's a super center about 3 miles from my house and while I'd love to shop more at smaller places, they can't compare with Wally World's prices and these days that matters.

42.) Do you shop at Target?

Not often.  The store is further away and involves driving the whole way on U.S. Route 30 with all its traffic and stop lights.  It's annoying.

43.) What do you order at Second Cup?

Nothing because I don't even know what Second Cup is.

Where is question 44?

45.) Do you like homemade meals?

I prefer them.

46.) Do you like homemade baked goods?

Absolutely.  They taste so much better than store bought.

47.) Do you shop online?

A few things here and there and more often at Christmas.

48.) Name 3 stores online stores you would like to shop at:

Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and ebay.

49.) What holiday don't you like?

I'm kind of getting to where I don't particularly like Halloween.  I think people are getting a bit ridiculous with it, but the biggest thing is that I am totally not in favor of is teenagers and even adults who dress up and come to my door begging for candy.  I'd say we get nearly as much of that as kids these days.  I often opt to just not be home so I don't have to deal with it.

50.) What do you eat more of when you're sick?

Popsicles and ginger ale.  I rarely touch either one when I am not sick.

I agree that grown ups and teens should not be trick or treating. Bah on that!

  5. Glad I am not the only one who noticed #44 was missing. I would much rather shop anywhere than Walmart, but it is closest and has the better prices on many items. Sometimes you just really can't choose where you spend your money.

    1. That's why I shop there. I try to maybe hit the smaller local places for produce and meat, but Walmart can't be beat on prices of packaged stuff.

    1. Yeah, I admit I check the pool out, too, at night and nothing gets me in the ocean past my ankles.

  7. I sure enjoyed your illustrations and answers today! I think we all noticed 44 is missing (not sure why though). Our Target is farther away too, but the few times I have gone in there, I've not found what I was looking for. It's just not on my short list of stores to visit. We are never home (lights out) for Halloween because of the older kids who come to the door. Takes all the fun out of it.

    1. I really like Target's book section and their stuff for home decoration. Other than that, not so much.

  8. Oh, I'm with you on Halloween. Actually, my kids have never gone trick or treating---and they don't feel deprived because of it. I gave out candy a few times years ago, but when our little ones were frightened by the evil-looking things at our door, we decided to just completely opt out of Halloween. We either go out, or we hang out in our TV room, and our outside lights are completely off.

Hope you're having a great weekend,
    Patti

    1. I don't have a problem with innocent trick or treating, but the older kids and adults are ruining it with all the gross stuff...plus it's a little scary for me as an adult to open the door to a dressed up bunch of adults I don't know. And maybe it's just me, but how greedy and/or pathetic to be that old and begging for candy. Really?? You should have a job and buy your own!
